Chelsea attacker admits Blues’ style of football doesn’t best suit him

Werner, 26, joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in a £47.7 million transfer in 2020.

Despite arriving in London with a reputation as one of Europe's most dangerous attackers, the 26-year-performances old's have fallen short of expectations.

The German's goal involvements are far less than those he notched up while playing in the Bundesliga, with only 19 goals in 80 appearances in all competitions (95 in 159 games).

Hansi Flick's Die Mannschaft, on the other hand, has never been like that.

Werner has played an important role for his country since making his senior national debut in early 2017. He has 21 goals in 47 caps.

The 26-year-most old's recent contribution was a late first-half goal in Saturday's game.
